Glossary

I should warn you that this glossary is only in reference to how I have seen these words typically used in fan fiction. And I may not be entirely accurate on some of them.

Ahou: My family's second favorite word: Moron.

Baka: My family's favorite word: Idiot. Also used as Stupid.  (Come on, does anyone *not* know what Baka means??)

Bishounen: Cute guys. ~_^

Bishoujo: Cute girls.

Citrusy: Used in reference to a story that contains a lime, lemon or limon.

Gaijin: It could be Gajin rather than Gaijin, though don't quote me. It means Foreign/Foreigner, often in a derogatory way.

Hai: Yes.

Hentai: Pervert/Perverted (i.e. Me! ^_^)

Iie: (Pronounced ee-yay) No.

Kami/Kami-sama:  Basically, divine or a diety. Typically used in reference to Japan's spirit body. (Often used like rolling your eyes and muttering 'Oh god'.)

Kawaii: Cute.

Kitsune: The Japanese fox spirit. A young Kitsune will only have one tail, while an older and wiser Kitsune will have up to nine. They can take the form of whatever creature they wish. I took a test on Quizilla and it said I am a Kitsune ^_^ Sobrina-kun is a Selkie.

Kobanwa: I believe it means Good Evening.

Konnichiwa: Hello/Good Afternoon.

Lemon: Describing the actual act of, oh, how should we put it, 'Thumping a melon'? (Oh, the joy of euphemisms!)

Lime: Kissing, heavy petting, etc.

Limon: Heavy kissing and whatnot, lots of sexual innuendo, right up till just before the actual act, often afterward as well...or not. I've seen some fics that are considered Limons that don't really go into much detail.

Ohayo: Good Morning.

Sayonara: Goodbye.

Shinai: A bamboo sword.

Shounen Ai: Literally, Boy's Love. Typically less graphic than Yaoi.

Shouta Con: Used in reference to yaoi. I'm not sure of the exact translation. I believe it is also a form of martial arts (so why it's used in referrence to yaoi I have no idea).

Shoujo Ai Girl's Love. I believe it is supposed to be less graphic than yuri.

Wakizashi: I *think* I spelled it right. It's basically a Japanese short sword.

Yaoi: Also referred to as Shounen Ai and Shouta Con, its literal translation is 'No Point, No Meaning'. It is used in reference to Homosexuality.

Yuri: Used in reference to lesbianism. I'm not sure of the literal translation.
