Count D is an exceptionally beautiful and effeminate
man, the main character of Petshop of Horrors. Very tall and thin. He is always seen wearing traditional Chinese cheongsams
(do forgive me if I spelled that wrong) and lipstick (unless his lips are naturally dark red/purple). He has very
long fingers and nails that are most often painted (I love his hands. I want his hands). He also has the most fascinating
eyes- one is gold (or green, depending on what kind of mood the artist was in at the time), and the other, a dark violet.
Count D runs the pet shop in Los Angeles' Chinatown, which sells exotic pets and various mythical creatures (such
as a mermaid and a nine-tailed kitsune). But there are three terms that every owner must follow (or else), and which they usually don't. He has a little bat/rabbit
type creature thing, named Q-chan, as his own pet. He is very smooth and elegant in everything he does, never batting
an eyelash when the subject of death and his pets comes up. But sweets are a very large weakness. Makes one wonder how
he remains so thin when in every other scene he is eating something very fattening. (I'm so jealous.)
He and his family are apparently, from all I've read, Kami. The petshop is actually owned by his grandfather, who, in his words, is 'traveling abroad'. D has a father,
whom he hates, and a younger sister named Nyu Al, both of whom have tried to kill him. (sheesh. Some family.) The whole
ordeal with Nyu Al was rather sad, she was
jealous of D (whom she called Ta Gua) because she believed their father loved him best, and tried to kill him. The pet shop
animals came to D's aid, though, and killed her. D held her as she died, telling her that "father only ever really loved you.
Of all the things in this world, he loved you best." Hearing these words, Nyu Al died happy.
No mention is made of his mother.
My my, I'm quite proud of myself. I actually wrote the majority of this bio myself ^_^ Keep checking back, I might actually
make a full-fledged fan page devoted to this man.
